Neanderthal Journeys book 5: New Generations

Cuda has now passed on the leadership to Gremo, his son. Gremo now runs the village with Mayon and are finding it challenging. Life is moving on and a new village has been built next to the current one as they are growing in numbers. Life is however is threatened by a major volcanic eruption and they fear the death of their peoples. They discover the existence of a new village when they rescue a man from the snow who is near to death. They take him back to their village and he is nursed back to health. His name is Benoza and he tells them about where he lives. Later, Gremo goes with him, along with others to meet his people. The sighting of the Sky Gods makes them wonder what is happening. They soon find out when the Sky Gods make contact with them and soon discover that their lives are about to completely change.
