Blue Flower, daughter of the chief, breaks this sacred rule and makes contact with another tribe in North Idaho. While there, Blue Flower falls in love with a native who is on leave from the Marine Corps. Their passionate relationship results in the birth of a child.Blue Flower's father, the chief, issues an ultimatum that only she can stay, alone, with her tribe, or she can take the child and live among the Coeur d'Alene people. A tragic event forces the Shadow people to unleash their mystical power in retribution to right an unforgivable wrong.
