My Son Died From An Overdose: A Play

150 dead addicts a day from overdose. That is around 50,000 a year. What happened to the American dream of being successful at something and living a stable, fruitful life? It is a terrible epidemic. Worse than AIDS. Worse than TB. And these are just the overdose deaths. What about the many, many people who have made a mess of their lives and may never recover completely. 150 bereaved families every day and they will never be the same again. Why are so many people dying like this? It is like a war against the young people of America. Cities, towns, and rural areas. A terrible scourge on the world. This play examines opioid addiction and the various thinking as to causes and cures. Two versions are available. A full length two hour version called "My Son Died From an Overdose" and a 45 minute abbreviated version called "Overdose". Both are effective and suitable for young adults and older.
