The past is written by the living; the future, by the dead.

Nigel rises from a city dump in the early days of the plague. As he becomes acquainted with his surroundings he develops a wholly new perspective on the metropolis and a fresh understanding of the pitiful existence of the 'Beans' (the living). In time he recruits other 'Muters' leading them in their mission to educate Beans in the wonders of eternal life.

From humble beginnings as a discarded corpse in the metropolis dump (London), Nigel's writings describe how he brought death and enlightenment to the unforgiving, miserable existence of Beankind.
