My Kingdom for a Pirate

Most people don't venture up a beanstalk unless they're a giant slayer, lacking sense, or just plain desperate. Ranger is desperate. Sent on a quest to prove himself worthy of joining his father's pirate crew, Ranger hopes a giant's castle might hold the treasure he seeks. His father doesn't want just anything: Ranger must bring back the world's greatest treasure.Given the subjectivity of such a task, Ranger isn't sure he'll ever succeed, but if he wants to return to his familiar life at sea, he has to try. Then he meets Jack, a giant slayer on a mission of her own, and he starts to question everything he really wants. He decides to help her on her journey while he's figuring it out.An eccentric genie, a warrior-poet unicorn, and a magic mirror are a few things they encounter, and along the way, Ranger starts to find that there's more than one way to find a place to belong.
