My Journey to Freedom

This is a true story of Noel Hedrick, a former Catholic priest. It is a story of the inner turmoil of a gay male as he struggles to hide feelings and behavior that he understands, even as a very young child, to be "different" than those of his brothers and friends. He takes us through childhood as a young farm boy in Wisconsin, his journey into the priesthood, his emotional breakdown and subsequent therapy, his "coming out" and dissolution from the priesthood, his struggles with finding a companion and lover, his pain and sorrow after his lover's death from AIDS, and his final acceptance and peace with who he is and the life he pursues.
