I have always wondered why many of my people never wrote a book, however, the fact that we are an auditory people might explain this.I also want to leave something for my grandchildren to present to their children and grandchildren to enlighten them about their history.After reading autobiographies which have inspired me, I believe that all of us have a story that will touch the lives of others and may be an inspiration to them. So, as you read this book, remember this is life in Radford, VA, and Jonson City, TN. in our household as I remember it. Radford is still my home town, because it gave me the foundation for whatever I am. If I have made a contribution of merit, it began in my parents' home in Radford, VA.
