Musikvidenskabelige Kompositioner

Text in Danish, English, German, Norwegian & Swedish. First librarian Niels Krabbe, Head of The Royal Library''s Music and Theatre Department, turned 65 on 3 October 2006. On that occasion he was celebrated with the festschrift Musikvidenskabelige kompositioner (Musicological compositions). As Head of the Music and Theatre Department Niels Krabbe is a key figure in Danish musicology and in the musical world in general. The collection at the Royal Library is second to none in Scandinavia due to its comprehensiveness, depth and importance, which goes way beyond the borders of the country. The festschrift contains 46 contributions in the fields of music, musicological research, librarianship, social history, cultural history, and history of reception, which are characteristic of Krabbe''s approach.
