Using beautiful photos and meticulous descriptions, the book "Mushrooms save Forests and reduce Climate Change" presents different ectomycorrhizal morphotypes of symbiotic mushrooms. It is the first manual to present diversity of ectomycorrhizal Carbon Guardians and Climate Warriors of Cameroonian primary forests, responsible of forest soil carbon sequestration. Even-aged Forest Clumps of Cameroon, dominated by Amanita and Russula species, harbor 30 ectomycorrhizal genera viz. Amanita, Boletus, Boletellus, Cantharellus, Clavulina, Chaciporus, Craterellus, Coltricia, Cortinarius, Gomphus, Gyrodon, Gyroporus, Inocybe, Helvella, Lactarius, Lactifluus, Leccinum, Paxillus, Phlebopus, Pulveroboletus, Rubinobolets, Ramaria, Russula, Sebacina, Scleroderma, Strobilomyces, Thelephora, Tubosaeta Tylopus and Xerocomus. At least 400 species of symbiotic mushrooms fruit from more than 30 ectomycorrhizal morphotypes. Ectomycorrhizal mycelia yearly sequester almost 36% of worldwide human greenhouse gas emissions, thus reducing Global Warming. Ectomycorrhizal mushrooms and fungi should be accounted for in endeavor to reach the zero net emissions by 2050. This book targets all of Climate Actors.
