After the smoke clears from the gym, Coach Andy Zuelke is found dead on a bench press.

Niki Dupre must sort through the stories given by the boys, and their coaches, with the help of Livingston Parish detective Hardee Wild. She discovers the two assistant coaches were about to be fired. They rise to the top of the suspect list.

Soon after, student Paula Blocker is murdered outside the gym. Following the clues, can Niki find her way to the killer?
