MomMom Cares tells the story of a young boy who lost his grandmother, and the warm, positive thoughts he has whenever he sees rainbows. Written by a mother trying to explain the death of her own mother to her child, MomMom Cares is an excellent book for other parents to explain the death of a grandparent, bereavement groups, counselors, and spiritual advisers like a priest, rabbi, or cantor. Parents often have a difficult time telling their children that a grandparent died. Often, we can still feel the presence of a loved one after they are gone, and many see signs that their loved one is still around them. This book may help a child better deal with the loss of a family member, like a grandma or grandpa, and may help a parent who is struggling to explain "what happens after death" or how to help their child otherwise deal with the death of a grandparent.
