Mining Research

Mining Research is a collection of research papers presented at the International Symposium on Mining Research, held at the University Of Missouri in February 1961. The compendium contains a wide array of investigations into various categories of mining research. Two prominent research categories are dynamic and static rock mechanics, and explosives and blasting. The book presents research papers that deal with subjects on the fundamentals and performance of ammonium nitrate-fuel-surfactant explosives; evaluation of explosive performance; mine environmental studies; spectroscopic analysis of ores; and using techniques of statistical analysis to plan sampling programs.
