Milling

Through the pages of Model Engineers' Workshop magazine, author Harold Hall established a reputation for introducing the novice model engineer to a wide range of machine tool operations. In this book he turns his attention to the milling machine, introducing its use through a carefully chosen series of practical projects.

Following on from his book Lathework, this book assumes no previous experience of using the milling machine. Detailing four minor and four major projects, which introduce all the necessary techniques, Milling will lead the reader from complete novice to confident milling machine operator. Whilst the detailed descriptions in the book are aimed primarily at those wishing to extend their knowledge of milling, the projects will be of use to the experienced operator wishing to add to their workshop equipment.

All the projects are extensively illustrated and include full workshop drawings. Once followed through, the reader will have amassed a wealth of practical skill and added a collection of useful items to their range of workshop equipment.
