"Michelle Perez" is a coming-of-age story about a queer Latina growing up in the South Bronx. From 1977 to 2016, Michelle recalls memories from her life growing up, both positive and difficult. Touching upon difficult topics likes AIDS, sexual assault, domestic abuse, immigration, and cancer, the resiliency and wit of Michelle's character emerges over time.
