Memoirs of a Switch-Hitter

Spanning almost all of the twenty-first century, these fictional memoirs recount the education, professional achievements, and wide-ranging personal interests of a child prodigy who becomes a pioneering computer scientist and contributes greatly to both the advent of artificial general intelligence and the development of safeguards to contain it. Childhood sexual assault, gender-identity issues, same-sex marriage, untimely deaths, and memory loss are all part of the narrator's life, as are baseball, cricket, foreign travel, fly-fishing around the world, and collecting prints and drawings.
