Medieval Transition (500-to-1500 CE): Gutenberg-to-Clockwork

The author provides an overview of the Middle Ages, not as just a dark age that separated the classical age from the rational-industrial age, but as a very significant transition that included the two most significant changes in the megatrend from the mytho-logo-cosmo-unity of the mythcial-native-indigenous cultures to the techno-logo-linguistic reality of the post modern. These changes were the Gutenberg "Galaxy" and the "Clockwork Universe," that re-focused Western culture on not only a literacy based civilization of linear-literal-linguistic ways of thinking but also a techno-mathematical-scientific way of comprehending the universe.
