Marriage and Family

Dietrich F. Seidel was a man of deep faith and love for Jesus; he considered becoming a priest. Instead, he became a great scholar, a theologian. This text is based on Seidel's doctoral dissertation, "Schleiermacher on Marriage and Family," which was submitted to the University of Saint Michael's College in Conjunction with the Toronto School of Theology in 1987. This book is offered as a tribute both to Friedrich Schleiermacher and to Dietrich Seidel, who diligently researched and uncovered the many gems of understanding that can bring light and hope to humankind today and in the future.
