Maronite Spread in the World

The history of the Maronite Church is tied to the region of Lebanon. However, over time, Maronites have emigrated and established new communities all over the world, resulting in a large global diaspora population. The present work provides a new history of Maronite emigration around the world, supplemented by charts with statistical data and many images. The work begins with a brief history of Lebanon and the origin of the Maronite Church, but the primary focus is a country-by-country overview of the Maronite diaspora communities. The final chapters also provide an overview of both the opportunities and challenges that these communities face.
