Marathon Dancer

The story opens with a young couple witnessing the climatic end to an 1176 hour marathon dance contest in St. Louis Missouri in 1935. Jobless, due to the Depression, their only hope to raise enough money to get married and start a life together is to be allowed the opportunity to participate in one of these contests. The author, a.k.a. Billy Steele, and his sweetheart, Maggie Morgan, experience a multi-dimensional world of entertainment, rivalry and strict competition, as they vie for part of the $5000.00 in prize money in their first contest, The Al J. Roth, All American Derby Show in Long Beach, California. Do they have a chance as rookies to see their goals realized?
