Managing QoS in Multimedia Networks and Services

This work focuses on the critical challenges facing the future deployment and management of multimedia services over the Internet. It covers a broad scope of issues related to the integrated control and management of multimedia networks and services, and presents practical solutions as well as new research directions in managing QoS in the context of the Multimedia Internet. The following issues are considered, among others: QoS in Internet networks; managing multimedia networking; network programmability; policies and service management; and advanced techniques for network management.
