Makarych

In the village, probably, no one knew his name - everyone was called Makarych. And how old he is - nobody knows, and the old man himself said that he did not count them, and tilled his tithe even when the collective farms were not there. And the grandfather would have lived, but he was in trouble. He died quietly and calmly on a clear November day, when the yard was white from the first snow that had fallen on the previous day.
