A novel that explores a harsh period in the 1990's Cuba. The author takes us through passages that today's Cuban literature still hasn't been able to uncover. A world where the actors dwell helpless; suppressed by a reality more powerful than themselves that frames and subjugates them. The depiction of the daily state of things for these characters is overwhelming. At the same time the author challenges our intellect; tries to sweep away concepts and half truths that perhaps he had to overcome himself.
