Many Christian men have bought into a lie: "Now that I've been saved and set free, my struggles, weaknesses, and hang-ups should be a thing of the past. I've got this under control." That lie is setting you up for failure. Yes, we have been forgiven for all that we've done, but frequently the reprecussions from our struggle with pornography, substance abuse, anger, selfishness, etc. still have to be walked out. We have many things to unlearn.

Most of us feel like we're the only one fighting to overcome an obstacle in our life. Satan would love for us to stay focused on the struggle, trying to do it by ourselves. God never intended for us to do this alone. It's important to know that other Christian men are struggling too. We draw strength, encouragement, and godly wisdom through close association with other men. There is power in locking shields of faith, driving back the enemy of our soul, and taking ground in Jesus' name.
