Diane and Livingston Moody have reached a critical moment in their childless marriage, and so have their friends, Vita and her philandering husband Finn, in theirs. The Moodys' marriage is trending toward disorder and dissolution. But Livingston thinks he has a remedy for what ails them. Meanwhile, Vita grows increasingly desperate in the face of Finn's apparent indifference.
