Linus

An examination of Pope Linus, traditionally regarded as the second Bishop of Rome after the Apostle Peter. Though historical details about his life are sparse, early Christian writers such as Irenaeus and Eusebius attest that Linus was appointed by Peter himself and played a key role in stabilizing the fledgling Christian community in Rome following the apostolic era.
