Our lives are short, but they are sweet. ...and filled with chocolate. This is a story of the short life of a cookie. The narrator watches as siblings reach "the moment we all must face". Will it end in the mouth of the Baker? In the furnace? In water? Perhaps none of those are as bad as they sound. Illustrations by Mary MacArthur enhance this short story.
