And if I am not like the saints of Dante's Paradiso, who were all founders and defenders of God's institutions on Earth while being subsumed by death, personal extinction and the beyond, then so much the worse for me. But that is what I would now like to become; the story here is what I have been, mixed up indiscriminately with the non-existence of the good of the beyond, and also the evils which attend any strife between this world and the next.
