This book is written from the point of view of a child with Selective Mutism, an anxiety disorder that children display when they feel comfortable talking to some people and in certain places (like their parents and at home), but not with others in other places (such as teachers, peers, and at school and in public). The book describes a child with Selective Mutism, it explains in easy language what this disorder is, and how to treat it with the collaboration of school (teachers), parents, therapist and child. This book is an initial introduction to the knowledge of Selective Mutism and it provides a guide on how to recognize it and to treat it.
