Sammy Clark has been a basketball coach and educator for many years. His job is to empower and enhance the lives of his students.

In his new book, Level Up, Clark hopes to inform readers of the impact playing sports can have on the lives of youth.

Recognizing that sports are often played with love, passion, and a seemingly endless supply of energy, the first-time author decided to gather his knowledge and years of experience to help coaches, educators, and students understand the correlation between sports, education and subsequent careers.

"If the same intention and work ethic athletes apply to the court could follow them into the classroom," the author declares, "the journey to a successful career can be made smoother."

While the specific concepts of Level Up focuses on basketball, the underlying message of utilizing hard work, skill, and purpose are transferable to all areas of sports.
