Let Them Eat Shit: September 2018

The injustices that have occurred in the past and their rippling effects in our present are the focus of this month's issue. LET THEM EAT SHIT are words that may not have been literally thrown at us, but they have been sugar coated with side eye glances filled with disgust, unsolicited advice on how, and sometimes what language, to speak.People who are bathed in privilege are too often blind to realize or don't care to see how these hurtful words and actions affect and continue to mark their place in our present. In this issue, we have crafted responses for these people, the ones that stuff their faces with false kindness while stabbing us in the back with their hateful actions. Our responses are diverse like our backgrounds, rich like our cultures and painfully true like our current reality.
