The novel is inspired by the author's observation of issues in her environment. Burdened by the sad playouts of events relating to teenage pregnancy, the author journeyed through the life of teenagers caught in the web of adolescence, curiosity, sex, pregnancy, and the consequences thereafter.

The novel explores the author's thoughts on society's conventional way of handling unwanted pregnancy and dares to challenge the norm.
