Lessons Learned for my Sons. The idea for an entire book about lessons learned germinated from the simple desire of a father to share his life experiences with his boys. And my ultimate goal wasn't to scribe another "e;Self Help"e; book. The idea is to motivate yourself, get friends to inspire you or professionals to guide you across 110 independent "e;choose your own adventure"e; stories. The first few stories I shared publicly were about what experiences I've had at work or home that would be valuable to share with my sons in the form of a lesson learned - even if they didn't "e;need"e; to learn those lessons right now. Since I was sharing them in the public domain, I quickly realized that many of these lessons learned applied to most everyone. Thus the name of this book, Lessons Learned for my Sons - Wisdom for Everyday Living and Inspiring Others. And "e;Others"e; can be sons, daughters, friends, work colleagues, direct reports, leadership, executives, Moms, Dads, etc. I hope this book facilitates the process of you, the reader, to support yourself and/or guide one or many others to discover useful "e;Aha"e; moments through these lessons learned.
