Laser Surface Modification: Advances at the Laser Institute 1985-1997

The Laser Institute developed Laser Surface Modification technology to combat wear and corrosion in the oil fields of Western Canada. In a few short years, the Institute developed a continent-wide reputation for its excellence in this field. The purpose of this book is to capture a moment of time and illustrate the technologies of surface modification developed at The Laser Institute and elsewhere. This book serves to pass on this knowledge to the novice in the field.
