Lara of the North

Fifteen-year-old Lara labors alongside her family on a landowner's farm in Northern Iceland. When Lara and some friends travel to Iceland's Parliamentary Althing in the summer of 1705, she is thrust alone into an unexpected three-year journey. A murder, a marriage, and a deadly disease take her from rugged Iceland to the rocky, windswept Faroe Islands, and on to Norway where she connects with long-lost family.
