Kingdom Discipleship - Part 1

Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples. His teaching was focused on the kingdom of God, God's rule and reign. Jesus introduced this kingdom with his first inhale, and he exhaled, "It is finished" on the cross. He rose from the dead and made clear to his followers that a new day had dawned. He taught his disciples for 40 days about the kingdom before he ascended into heaven, and he promised them, "I will return." We take Jesus' instruction, "Make disciples", seriously.

The first volume in this three part series, Being a Disciple, is an exploration of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. John's model of moving a new follower to maturity, found in 1 John 2:12-14, is used to understand how we, as disciples, grow in our relationship with God.
