King of the Hill

Rodney Mills had followed his mentor and dearest friend, Hal Schleider, into the darkest corners of American society to root out extortion and illegality--doing all possible to fight against highly organized and relentless global crime syndicates. Uncovering seemingly minor white-collar crimes had illuminated a complex international mosaic of criminality known to only a few as Domov. As the elements of this collage of corruption were painstakingly exposed, Domov was revealed as a heretofore unknown but expansive criminal hydra with tentacles in all aspects of the daily lives of those across the globe. With the assistance of a surprising collection of actors from around the world, Rodney finds himself confronting the skillful maneuvers of the obscure head of Domov, the Maliar, the King of the Hill. Finding the Maliar's spoor across the landscape, in the most public arenas as well as the most concealed crannies, Rodney and his colleagues mount a multi-pronged offensive against a shrouded enemy with an army of agents secreted across the spectrum ranging from grassroots communities to the pinnacles of power--a campaign they are unsure they could win, but a campaign where they invested all possible tools to defeat a truly pervasive threat.
