Mary F. Jones kept her pencil handy during the decades she worked with preschool children. Recording the commentary that made her laugh resulted in Kids Chatter, a compilation of quotes and wisdom.

About the Author

Mary F. Jones has worked with children since 1972. She began as a volunteer when her youngest child started preschool. A short time later, the preschool hired Mary as a teaching assistant, a profession that carried her to retirement.

"When I started working with the children, I always enjoyed the funny things they said," Mary recalled. "I started writing down a few cute quotes I heard them say. I've been writing ever since."

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Mary now lives in New Jersey. When she is not writing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, she enjoys bowling, crocheting, and arts and crafts.
