Khyāla Theatre of Rajasthan

Rajasthan has a very long tradition of folk theatre. Khayāla, Rāsa-līlā (Rāma-līlā and Kṛishana-līlā), Ghūmara, Gavarī, Tamāśā, Bhavāī, Swānga, baharūpiyā, Kaṭhpūtali, etc. are the different form of the Rajasthani theatre which make Rajasthan as a culturally rich and colorful state.'Khyāla' is the very popular folk theatre form of Rajasthan which have songs, dance and music as its integral ingredient. These features are seen in all kinds of 'Traditional Theatre'. It seems that the theatre of Rajasthan adopted these kinds of songs and dance mixture in theatre from the 'Traditional Theatre'.
