They can enlist in the Marines or get put out on the street in the snow. Their lives change in the worst kind of way, for two teenagers, when they decide not to join the Marines. San Francisco serves as a respite for the two of them, for a short time, but things don't work out well for both of them. This an international story of challenges, falling thru the cracks and successes.

You will go along on the journey with them, through the bad and the good, traveling across the Pacific to New Zealand and back again, finding the trip exciting, sometimes sad but ultimately fulfilling.
