Katie and the Gnomes of Stone Troll: Sunstone

Just a week after moving to Seattle to seek out better cancer treatment for their dying mother, Katie Tummel and her younger brother, Lucas, discover a mysterious stone when a sinkhole appears in their backyard. Unintentionally awakening what is later to be known as the Sunstone, the young teens are sucked into a battle between a local Gnome tribe and a mysterious professor named Dr. Smert, but things are not what they seem. Who is the doctor and just what are his intentions? With the help of her family, Guardian Gnomes and a troop of owls called the Owlohi, Katie must find the confidence within to save them all, and keep a lurking evil from unhinging the balance of nature as we know it.
