K-12 Education in African-America

This book is the first volume of a collection of critical essays on several topics focusing on K-12 education in the African-American community. The essays consist of critiques and some creative and pragmatic solutions to the current educational issues in areas of curriculum, instruction, and educational policy. Multidisciplinary and eclectic in scope, the essays draw from practical experiences, research-based best practices, and schools of thought from a variety of disciplines.
