Jonathon Marston is a Lieutenant in the United States Navy in early1916. In Europe the old world is tearing itself apart in the greatest war the world has ever seen. America is neutral under an administration that seems willing to swallow any insult, not to mention harm to its citizens, provided it kept the country out of the war. A mysterious summons to Washington sends him off to Britain, a country that has been no friend to the Marston family on a clandestine mission into the heart of the war. After a number of adventures, Jonathan finds himself caught up in the greatest sea battle ever fought.
