Judicial Precedents in Brazilian Law

This book aims to analyse the system of judicial precedents and their application in Brazilian law. It is well known that the judgements of the Brazilian courts have varied greatly, with an absurd number of conflicting decisions. This is why the theory of judicial precedents was implemented in Brazil, with the aim of standardising case law. This is the only way to guarantee legal certainty, demonstrating the credibility of the Judiciary to the courts.
