Journey to the Heart

Winona De Leon is an ambitious sixteen-year-old who wants to leave her mark in the world. Even as she diligently practices her piano finger placement on the bus on the way home from school, Winona feels butterflies in her stomach, pressure building in her chest, and muddled thoughts-all desperately searching for a way out. She cannot help but wonder if she ever had a voice and, if so, what has happened to it. When she begins experiencing unexplained phenomena, Winona is soon called by a familiar yet strange voice into a fantastical world ruled by a powerful supreme king. As she embarks on a journey to discover what is at the center of all the voices she hears, Winona must trust her heart as she searches for the answer to a mystery that somehow pertains to her and attempts to determine if the voices have been created out of malice, pride, lust for power, or love. In this fantasy adventure, an unlikely teenage heroine ventures into uncharted kingdoms where she meets unimaginable foes and fabled allies who she hopes will help her find answers to life's biggest questions of origin, meaning, morality, and destiny.
