After her father's sudden death, landscape designer, Phoebe Jackson, returns to her exploration of Europe where she had been studying typical gardens and plants.

She arrives in Athens to discover she has not only been jilted by her fiance, but he has stolen her travel funds, leaving her destitute in a foreign country.
