In Jamarra and the Smallest Dinosaur, Gus Goanna helps his young friend Jamarra realise how special he is and that he truly belongs by telling him the story of how he once was bullied by other animals and how his own past doubts and challenges were overcome when he learned he was descended from the mighty dinosaurs. Simple illustrations are enhanced by the addition of photographs of goannas and the message, presented in rhyme, is aimed at increasing the reader's confidence, self-belief and esteem.
