Jack the Gator Goes to the Beach

Jack the Gator has spent almost his entire life in a peaceful swamp near Cortland, listening to exciting stories about the beach from travelers and birds. When summer finally arrives, he decides it is time to see the beach for himself.He sneaks through bushes, forests, and backyards, hoping not to scare anyone. What follows is a day filled with surfing lessons, treasure hunts, sandcastle contests, new friends, and even a daring rescue.
