It Took a Storm

Sometimes it takes a life-altering event to waken the heart of a poet. So it was for Brenda who found herself struggling to express the raw emotions inside her soul. Coincidentally, or not, she met a poet on an online dating site, and from there she found her safe haven in poetry. In these pages, Brenda abandons all her learned inhibitions as she seeks shelter from the storm to reveal her deep sadness and eventual joy from her adventures as she explores new relationships, inspired by family, nature and her vibrant zest for life, to rise from the ashes. Brenda was selected as 1 of 30 women monthly contributors to the Sibella Poetry Magazine for 2015.
