Irma's Eyes

Irma's Eyes see the future. She envisions a home for unwed mothers that is hell during her pregnancy, sees outlandish treatment from a family fearful of social repercussions, witnesses a forced adoption, and foretells the death of the adoptive mother. Irma cannot see the outcome of the custody trial nor the re-conversion of her child from Judaism to Catholicism. This novel explores the social milieus of the forties and the tribulations of young lovers who seek happiness and justice.
