Intellectual Dynamo

This book describes my lengthy- and highly successful- career as an educational and training consultant. It is the companion volume to Vic Baxter's book on 'Innovative "High Kai" Consulting', the first two elements of the 'Baxter/Ellington quartet' of books on 'effective consultancy'. These are accompanied by two much-longer volumes, each providing 25 detailed case studies on major consultancy projects that we have carried out over the years. We could have written many more It begins by outlining my general approach to consultancy, and then looks at the main areas of which I have worked as a consultant for the last five decades. The book ends by identifying the four main reasons why I was able to do so well as a consultant. I hope that it will encourage other academics to try to do the same, and will also provide a few useful guidelines for consultants of all types.
